How it works

One bale of hay, followed through its whole commercial life.

Step 1

Stack it

Drop a pin on the satellite map at GPS precision - 10 to 50 pins per field per cutting is normal. Record bales, tons, hay type, cutting, and whether it's organic. The pin saves on your phone the moment you drop it, signal or not.

Step 2

Commit it

Assign hay to a buyer - a whole field, a single stack, or a partial quantity - with an estimated price. That estimate stays visibly separate from whatever gets finalized later. Nothing here is billed yet.

Step 3

Haul it

Record the haul-out - picked up by the buyer, or delivered by you - with a receipt photo, quantity, and date, against an append-only ledger. The app asks which commitment it's against, so nothing gets lost between deals. Recording saves offline; a duplicate pickup gets a warning, never a block.

Step 4

Grade it

The buyer grades and prices the stack inline - their one write on farm-owned data. The farm's estimate and the buyer's final sit side by side, never merged. Grade is optional; a settlement line with no grade still finalizes fine.

Step 5

Settle it

Statements draft themselves from unbilled haul-outs. Confirm final prices, finalize, and the statement becomes an immutable snapshot with a real PDF. A stack can sit on only one live statement at a time - two parties can never bill the same hay twice.
